The name
of our soccer association is Indian Head Soccer Association (IHSA).
Purpose
Regarding participation, coaches will provide one half total match
playing time for each player in a given match; provided the player has
participated in sufficient practice to warrant game play.
The countywide leagues, while being more competitive in nature, will
emphasize the same criteria as stated above.
Administration
The officers shall be elected annually by the membership.
The Treasurer and one designated officer shall sign all checks for
expenditures officially incurred by the Association.
All coaches/assistant coaches must be certified and shall be approved
by the President in cooperation with the officers. All assistant
coaches shall sign the Public Facilities Code of Ethics.
No member [including coaches] of the Association may incur an expense
on the behalf of the Association without prior approval of the President.
All bills, once legimately incurred [approved by the President], must
be submitted for payment to the Association Treasurer within 45 days of
receipt. Failure to comply may result in non-payment.
All checks submitted to the Association shall be made payable to the
Indian Head Soccer Association. The Association reserves the right to return
checks incorrectly endorsed.
Refund Policy
No Refunds will be given back after March 15th {Spring Season}, August 15th {Fall Season}.
The IHSA does not discriminate on the basis of race,
creed, sex or country of national origin.
Suggestions/Complaints
Unresolved complaints should be directed to the attention of the
Association's President, either verbally or in writing. All complaints
will be investigated and handled in an impartial manner by the Association.
Public Facility involvement is requested only when an issue cannot be settled
at the Association level.
Rules and Regulations
Conduct/Discipline
The following procedure will be applied:
A player who continually exibits disciplinary problems may be
removed from the team by the Association. These matters will be brought to the
attention of the Association President by the player's coach. An investigation
will be made by the President and the Association Officers.
Team Selection Policy
Roster size for U6 boys, U6 girls, U8 Boys, U8 Girls, U10 Boys, U10 Girls, U12 Boys, U12 Girls teams shall have a maximum of 12 players permitted on rosters. For ages U14 and U19 teams, a maximum of 18 players shall be permitted on rosters.
First to register would be on the roster. If more than 12 players sign up, a dicision is then discussed to form of a second team
No special requests will be entertained, no exception.
Board members and coaches will have guaranteed spots on the roster.
Uniforms/Equipment
Socks will be furnished to all players.
Shinguards are MANDATORY for all age groups to be used during games and practice, If a player does not have shingaurds, he or she shall not play in the game or practice.
Glasses must be adequately secured around the head.
No jewelry of any kind (hair clips, watches, earrings, etc.) is to be
worn during games.
Cleats are the prescribed footwear for outdoor play, enhancing both
safety and performance. Cleats providing a firm upper body, molded toe
support, and multiple spikes (no metal spikes), are suggested.
Equipment will be furnished by the Association and will be
purchased with Association funds.
Equipment will be maintained by the Equipment Coordinator, who will
issue the equipment to all teams as the beginning of the season. The equipment
will then become the responsibility of the team coach. All equipment will be
returned to the Coordinator at the end of each season for inventory and storage
purposes.
Practice
Coaches may set their own practice schedules and requirements for their
individual teams. Players will be expected to adhere to the requirements set forth by their teams coaching staff.
If a player is unable to attend a scheduled practice or game due to
illness, or unforseen reasons, the player or his/her parent/guardian is
encouraged to contact the coach prior to the scheduled time. This will enable
the coach to make necessary adjustments to practice/game.
Parents are required to stay for the entire practice/game.
The philosophy of the IHSA stresses maximum participation for all
players, teaching of skills, good sportsmanship, and having fun through
sports.
The officers of the Association shall be President; Vice President
(one or more); Secretary; Treasurer.
ALL suggestions and concerns are welcome. They may be given to any of the
Associations officers or coaches.
The rules and regulations set forth by Public Facilities will govern
this Association. In situations not covered by Public Facilities, FIFA rules
will apply.
1st Warning - parent contacted.
2nd Warning - 1 game suspension with phone call to explain action
to Public Facilities.
3rd Warning - removal from team for additional games or for
remainder of season. [NO REFUNDS]Players will be distributed evenly among teams according to age and experience.
Jerseys and socks will be furnished to each player by using
registration/uniform fees, fundraising and/or sponsorship monies
Players are encouraged to participate in any and all practices.
